I bought these to hang a garland in a staircase- did the job perfectly. They were long enough to get rind the banister and garland and I had enough to twist and hold it in place. They also blended in perfectly.

Pretty much like large pipecleaners made with the same material as the fake Christmas garlands - so they blend in really well and do a great job or securing the garlands to the bannisters.
